According to the World Steel Organization’s publication, Sustainable Steel at the Core of a Green Economy, global steel production has grown more than seven-fold since 1950. By 2050, steel use is projected to increased by 1.5 times that of present levels. Steel, once produced is 100 percent recyclable, without loss of properties, and therefore has potential for an infinite life cycle.
